How do I collect my picnic basket?
Simply collect your basket in store at your designated pick up time.
What is required of me when I order and pick up my picnic basket?
When you order your basket online, over the phone or in store, we require full payment of the total picnic cost to secure your booking. We offer a full refund of this payment for change of mind if notification is provided 48 hours or more, prior to your designated pick up time. We do not offer any refund any of your payment if you need to cancel your picnic within 48 hours of your designated pick up time. (Unfortunately we cannot control the weather- but indoor picnics are always fun!)
No deposit is required for returnable picnic items such as bags, rugs and other extras, however for security reasons, we do require customer details including name, phone number, email and driver’s licence number, as well as sighting of the credit card used to purchase your picnic (if purchased online) on pick up of your picnic basket.
For security reasons, the person who picks up the picnic in store must be the same person whose details were recorded at the time of the online order.
Can you deliver my picnic basket to me?
Unfortunately, Open Air Picnics do not currently have the resources to deliver or or pick up your picnic basket, however this is a direction we are aiming for in the future.
Do you cater for gluten and dairy allergies?
Yes! We wish for all people to enjoy our picnic experiences and therefore we cater for a range of allergies. Please let us know either over the phone or through a message when ordering online if you require a gluten free dairy free or other alternative.
Do I have to return the basket and extras?
In general, yes, however we provide a variety of basket and extras options for you to customise your picnic to suit your exact needs. While the majority of our picnic hampers are a hire basis and must be returned to us, we desire to make your picnic experience as easy and flexible as possible, therefore if you wish to have a completely take-away, non-returnable picnic, you can, simply by purchasing your picnic cooler bag to keep! You can also purchase a rug to keep as well!
How do I return the basket and extras?
All hired picnic items must be returned to our Picnic HQ within 24 hours of your picnic pick up time. You can return the basket and extras in store within our opening hours. Alternatively, to allow you to enjoy your picnic at any hour of the day, we have a Drop Off Shed located outside behind our Picnic HQ, which can be used outside our opening hours. If you wish to utilise this Drop Off Shed to return your hired picnic items, please let us know when picking up your picnic and we will provide you with the daily code to unlock it to easily return your hired items. How much notice do you need to create a picnic?
We do need two days’ (48 hours) notice. In times of high-demand, we do get fully booked, therefore our picnics are subject to availability- the more notice you can give the better!
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes we do! We believe a picnic is the perfect present for any occasion and any age! We offer a variety of gift voucher options, including vouchers for set picnics or vouchers for any dollar amount. Phone us or pop into the shop and we can provide you with a gift voucher on the spot- give the gift of a magical picnic experience today!
What type of packaging do you use?
All of our freshly made picnic food is packaged in either Australian made, 100% recyclable cardboard packaging, or completely reusable plate ware, glassware and cutlery (for the Lover’s Charm and Garden of Eden Picnics). The only item that is unfortunately non-biodegradable are the small plastic containers used for dips, kid’s fruit salads and some other items. You can, however recycle them or reuse them yourself!
What is included in the picnic hampers?
All picnic hampers include cooler bag hire (or basket for Romantic Picnics), picnic rug hire, all freshly hand-prepared food and packaging, drinks, napkins and disposable cutlery.
Can I change the menu?
We have provided a “Create Your Own” picnic option to make your picnic experience as customisable as possible. We have also provided a range of options to cater for gluten free, dairy free, vegetarians and vegans.
